1/2 Hour Flower

Painted in my old studio in Hackney. An old converted factory block with no heating you could see the mist in your breath. I  had to wear snow boots least the cold permeate through my feet and into my body. It was a particularly cold, dreary day when I arrived at the studio, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to stay long. 

Using big household brushes I went to work on this piece. I wanted to paint something organic, fluid and bold, hence was born 1/2 hour Flower.
